Kelly Clarkson gave us all an early holiday gift this year with her appearance on James Corden's Carpool Karaoke segment last night.

Of course, with the original "American Idol" victor riding shotgun in the CBS personality's Range Rover SUV, there was plenty of the skit's trademark singing.

Clarkson and Corden got directly down to business, busting into the artist's achievement 2004 hit "Since U Been Gone", which segued directly into her most recent crush, the heartfelt, "Love So Soft" from Kelly's Meaning of Life collection, finish with that executioner high note. Clarkson asked before getting in the backseat with her surprise guest.

Corden then challenges her to sing "do you want the receipt, or can I put it in the bag", and she does, and it sounds awesome of course!

"I am the greatest at helping people get to work", she observed.

"It's hard because I work a lot and I'm a mom but we can try", Clarkson explained. A violinist popped up to help set the mood, while Corden told his two passengers to "just pretend I'm not here".

Now the couple have four kids between them - Brandon's daughter Savannah, 16, and son Seth, 10, and their own children, River Rose, three, and Remington, 19 months.

Brandon then joked: "I feel like we're making a porn with all the cameras".
