Pixel customers can perceive the new battery forecasts via Settings Battery, which will now demonstrate personalized battery valuation. Here, users will see a graphical representation of of battery usage. The Google Pixel 2 XL comes with a 6-inch QHD+ display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 1440x2880 pixel resolution. So, if you have a habit of watching a lot of YouTube videos during the weekend and frequently use your email or Slack during the weekdays, a new on-device model will learn these habits and adjust your estimated remaining battery life based on them. Now, the phone will evaluate how battery usage occurs over time and will use these data points as a reference to predict your battery drain on similar days. People can view the percent of battery left as well as how many hours the device is expected to last. If you've used about 10% per hour over the past few hours, we would guess you will keep using 10% per hour. Other changes include the new app drawer which will now initiate search including your history apart from installed apps.

What the Pixel 2 does now is look at battery usage over time and then predict battery life in the future.

Pixel users can see their personalized battery life predictions by going to the Battery section of Settings.
