Donald Trump's national security adviser reportedly mocked the U.S. president and called him a "kindergartner" during a private dinner.

"[Catz] said the conversation was so inappropriate that it was jaw dropping", an unnamed source has stated.

Michael Anton, spokesman for the National Security Council, denied that any such comments were spoken during the dinner.

"Those false comments represent the diametric opposite of Gen. McMaster's actual views". Two sources also told BuzzFeed that administration officials reportedly threatened "retaliation" against several people with knowledge of the July dinner if they spoke to BuzzFeed about the report. He's often been depicted, along with Mattis and White House Chief of Staff John Kelly, as one of the "adults in the room" in the Trump administration. Glueck denied he made his statement under pressure. Due to their perceived influence over the president, both men and in particular McMaster are widely distrusted by Trump's base and some loyalist aides and former staffers, and have been the perceived target of attacks in the press. In October, NBC News reported that Secretary of State Rex Tillerson called Trump a "moron" during a meeting at the Pentagon. "It's like they're preparing to deal with a child", a source told the magazine. "This story is just more fake news".

Another source wasn't aware of remarks made at that particular event, but did confirm that McMaster has openly dunked his boss's inability to understand what the National Security Council actually does.

Catz served on Trump's transition team and was born in Israel.

It should be noted that in August, gambling tycoon Sheldon Adelson, one of the largest donors to Trump and the Republican Party, and a strong supporter of Israel's right-wing, also mentioned a conversation he had with Catz about her meeting with McMaster.

While Catz hasn't wound up in any of these jobs, Oracle has stayed closer to the Trump administration than numerous other high-profile tech giants. Catz was born in Israel, grew up in the United States, and is now one of the most powerful executives in Silicon Valley.

This isn't the first time a top Trump aide has been accused of trashing the president's intelligence behind his back.
