David Cassidy has taken a turn for the worse.

Pop star David Cassidy has been hospitalized in Florida and is suffering from organ failure, according to his publicist.

He continued his acting and music career for decades until his retirement earlier this year when he announced he had dementia.

His representative tells The Associated Press on Saturday that Cassidy is "now conscious" and "surrounded by family".
