If the raid lair is indeed the only raid content to be added in Curse of Osiris and the second expansion, this would be a change in strategy that is likely to disappoint at least some players, even if the raid lair is a completely new experience, as Bungie is saying.

Whereas some players may prefer a new raid altogether, this is actually a neat idea, as it builds upon familiar territory, while at the same time challenging players to stay on their guard, in the hopes of winning that precious loot. Osiris is investigating the Vex in the Infinite Forest, which is a simulation of the past, present, and future. While it's a bit disappointing to not see the Raid explore more about Osiris, the Vex, the Infinite Forest, and that whole story line, it's interesting to see Bungie expand the role of Leviathan in the game. Destiny players have wondered about the mysterious Osiris after he was mentioned multiple times throughout the original Destiny, and Curse of Osiris will finally bring the banished Vanguard member on screen. However, the six-player activity won't take as long to complete, and it will still be a challenge to finish it.
