Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin wrote a letter to the judge who sentenced rapper Meek Mill to two-to-four years in prison for violating his probation.

He criticized Brinkley for extending Mill's initial five-year probation sentence following various violations. Besides being reportedly under investigation by the FBI, court filings reveal Judge Genece Brinkley allowed the Philly rapper to kick it with a convicted felon despite being on parole.

Brinkley's office did not respond to a request for comment and instead referred CNN's request to Gabriel Roberts, a spokesman for the 1st Judicial District of Pennsylvania, which declined to comment as the matter is "subject to future litigation".

Meek, who's now sitting in solitary confinement at the moment, was sentenced to 2-4 years in prison last week despite the district attorney and Meek's probation officer asking for no jail time.

At the November 6 hearing during which Brinkley sentenced Mill, the veteran judge recounted nearly 10 years of court proceedings in which he had violated his probation, and she had sentenced him to short periods in jail and then had extended his probation. "We will always stand by and support Meek Mill, both as he attempts to right this wrongful sentence and then in returning to his musical career". He also said he came out not only to "draw attention" to Meek Mill's legal situation, but also to "speak for so many others". 'I want you to know that I am personally invested in him so that he can help others'.

At least six people had injuries, Denton police said, and no one had to be transported by ambulance. The fire department says it will be up to the city to determine if there were any code violations.

"Brinkley replied, "'OK, suit yourself, '" according to Tacopina.

Judge Genece Brinkley is reportedly being investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation for possible relationships she might have in Philly - including to a local music mogul she allegedly asked Meek to sign with - as well as a possible "extortionate demand" ... according to the New York Post. However, Mack denies these claims.

She also allegedly requested that the rapper leave his current management company - Roc Nation - and sign with a Philadelphia local who she has a personal relationship with.

Mack was among about 50 persons to offer support to Mill during an August 18, 2014, probation violation hearing before Brinkley.

For Mill, the problem with a Superior Court appeal is that, unless he is allowed bail pending appeal, he could serve his minimum sentence before a decision.
