"We feel like we've got a great game that we want more people to play, so taking away some of the barriers - primarily cost - to get into the game, we're hoping will really give a larger audience a chance to play StarCraft 2", said Tim Morten, the game director of StarCraft II. The update will include the Wings of Liberty campaign, access to ranked multiplayer, and all Co-op Commanders up to Level 5. But in a seeming effort to combat account abuse, players will first have to achieve 10 game-of-the-day victories in either the unranked ladder or against the game's AI, before they can access the multiplayer ladder. And if you haven't played for while or are new to the RTS genre, grab a buddy and dive into StarCraft II's excellent co-op mode - because it's awesome. The team consists of Mira Han and Matt Horner, and should provide a good balance of power and precision. Players will be able to tailor the experience, choosing their own mission path and selecting technology and research upgrades to suit their playing style throughout the 29-mission campaign. "Players will collect resources to assist an AI-controlled archangel mech against an imposing array of hybrid bosses". The changes also "promote more player control" regarding the game's state, and reduce sudden "game-ending moments".

StarCraft II is a science-fiction real-time strategy game for the PC developed and published by Blizzard.
