Israel Violates Lebanese Airspace to Strike Syria

Syrian television reported "an aggression" by Israel in the region, adding that the national army had "responded".

The TV report said that the attack late on Wednesday targeted a factory in Hissya area in the countryside around the central city of Homs, according to AP.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a UK-based monitoring group, reported that the strike targeted a Syrian military or Hizbullah installation that was believed to manufacture rockets.

Reliable sources consulted by Prensa Latina in Damascus referred that two Israeli fighters launched four air-to-surface missiles from Lebanese airspace against the copper plant, the largest in the country, located 40 kilometers south of the city of Homs.
