Leader Cautions about Enemies' Efforts to Undermine Tehran-Baku Relations

Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed support for the Iran nuclear deal on an official visit to Tehran on Wednesday, in what Iran's leadership has interpreted as a rejection of USA policy.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers in 2015 is a good pact in line with the expansion of peace and stability in the region.

"Full resolution of Syria's crisis needs strong cooperation between Iran and Russian Federation".

Mr. Putin arrived in Tehran on Wednesday afternoon to attend the trilateral meeting of presidents of Iran, Russia, and Azerbaijan. Our cooperation can isolate the United States.

Moscow is now trying to build on that success with a new diplomatic initiative, including a congress of Syria's rival parties it plans in the Black Sea resort of Sochi on November 18, though a major opposition bloc has refused to take part.

The rapprochement between Iran and Russian Federation is worrying for both Saudi Arabia, Shi'ite Muslim Tehran's main Sunni rival for dominance in the Middle East, and the United States.

Iran's Leader also called for resistance against the (opponents') temptations and sabotage saying that bilateral ties and cooperation must be expanded in different fields in a highly motivated way.

"In our relations with Iran, we are absolutely resolute and will not allow anyone to interfere in the relations between the two countries and disrupt them", underlined Aliyev.

Moscow and Tehran have had close military and economic relations for some time, and in the nuclear field Russian Federation has already built one reactor at Iran's Bushehr plant and just started work on two new ones. On Tuesday, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov criticized "unpredictable" US behavior, citing the refusal to uphold the Iranian agreement and threats to use force to resolve the crisis on the Korean peninsula.

"This is a very important visit [by Putin]".

Iran has expressed a desire to show that US approval is not needed for regional cooperation.

As reported, the Russian President's working visit will end by a private talk with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
