You can play through Far Cry 5's entire campaign in co-op mode

In the open-world game players can take on shared missions, take down enemies in fighter jets or even indulge in a spot of fishing with their friends. As revealed in a trailer at Sony's Paris Games Week shindig yesterday, players will be able to play through the whole of Far Cry 5 with an online friend. Far Cry 4 did have co-op mode.

A hilarious new Far Cry 5 trailer showed off a different look at the highly anticipated new chapter to the franchise. In Far Cry 5 the full campaign will be available in co-op mode.

When playing in co-op, your friend will appear in game as a custom character. Far Cry 3's gameplay isn't relevant to the game's story, mainly focusing on four different people attempting to get revenge on a ship captain who sold his entire ship and all its passengers out to pirates.

Ubisoft unveiled Far Cry 5 earlier this year, bringing players back from the usual exotic regions to the United States, putting them up against a doomsday cult.

It's always great to see co-op in video games, especially open world ones like Far Cry. What I would say is that we wanted to protect the sanctity of a single player story, but at the same time give you the opportunity for Guns for Hire, so it was tricky for us.
