Former President George H.W. Bush is apologizing to an actress who is accusing him of sexual assault.

Heather Lind, who played Anna Strong in AMC's "Turn: Washington Spies", wrote in a since-deleted Instagram post that the former president had "sexually assaulted" her during a photo op in 2013.

Like Lind, Grolnick alleged that Bush cracked a dirty joke just as he groped her from behind.

"President Bush would never - under any circumstance - intentionally cause anyone distress, and he most sincerely apologizes if his attempt at humor offended Ms. Lind", the former president's office told UK Daily Mail in its first statement.

A second actress, Jordana Grolnick, told the sports news site Deadspin that the former president had also touched her inappropriately her during a photo and told a joke.

Lind says she was actually admonished by security, who told her she shouldn't have stood next to him.

The spokesman goes on to say that while some may see Bush's actions as innocent, others may find it inappropriate and apologized to all those offended by the former president's antics.

In light of Lind's allegation and the thousands of women who have shared their sexual harassment stories after the Harvey Weinstein scandal broke, Grolnick felt compelled to share hers.

O'Reilly Apologizes to Bolling for Invoking Son's Death in Harassment Dispute
The presenter, who was sacked from Fox News in April, is thought to have made settlements with at least six women since 2004. Some news outlets had initially reported that Eric Chase Bolling's death could have been a drug overdose or a suicide.

Then Bush, like some problematically horny cartoon character of yore, just kept doing it: "And then, all the while being photographed, touched me again".

Also in the Instagram post, she used the "Me Too" hashtag, which many sexual assault victims are doing to now speak out about past incidents.

The actress posted her allegation after seeing a photo of a gathering Saturday of all five living former USA presidents. And I feel pride and reverence toward numerous men in the photo.

"It seems to me a President's power is in his or her capacity to enact positive change, actually help people, and serve as a symbol of our democracy", she continued. I can enact positive change.

"I don't want to belittle Heather Lind for feeling violated. I could elect for a President, in the component, by the nature of his or her personality, recognizing that his or her political choices should always stem from that personality". My fellow cast-mates and producers helped me that day and continue to support me.

She claims that her co-stars were aware of the said assault because she had told them and chose to come forward now thanks to the multiple courageous women who have spoken up about their experiences of sexual harassment.

However, Lind thanked President Barack Obama for the gesture of respect he made toward George H.W. Bush for the sake of the country, but mentioned that she does not respect him.
