The surviving victim was in Fort Collins Wednesday to celebrate her friend Savannah McNealy's birthday.

Fort Collins police say four people were shot — and at least one of them was killed — outside an apartment building about a mile from Colorado State University, but that they're not looking for any suspects.

The complex is one block from Colorado State and directly across the street from a student housing complex.

The shooting reportedly occurred on Thursday at around 2 A.M. As of this writing, the motive for the double homicide is unknown.

Campus police alerted students about the shooting and warned them to stay inside.

Zamora was a special missions aviator assigned to the F.E. Warren Air Force Base near Cheyenne, Wyoming, the Air Force confirmed Friday.

Zamora, who police say had been out socializing with the victims in the hours before the attack, was not in the rideshare vehicle.

A Colorado State University student was out celebrating her 22nd birthday in the hours before being fatally shot by her boyfriend, an Air Force staff sergeant stationed in Wyoming. Kemp, McNealy and the surviving victim were given a ride to an apartment complex before 2 a.m. on October 19 located one block west of the CSU dormitory towers.

Kemp, a native of Guam, was an Air Force veteran who had served with Zamora in Afghanistan, his uncle Thomas Perez told the Pacific Daily News.

Savannah McNeally, a 22-year-old senior arts major at CSU, was killed, as was 26-year-old Tristian Kemp of Destin, Florida. She would have graduated in December. She worked for the university's student media group and interned on the Creative Services Team. The other victim's names have yet to be released.

Police found two rifles and a handgun registered to Zamora at the scene, according to the Coloradoan.

"We are deeply saddened by this bad loss to our campus community and will share more information as we have it", the university said in an email to students and staff.
