Officers were called to Advanced Granite Solutions in the Emmorton Business Park on the 2100 block of Emmorton Park Road just before 9 a.m, police said at a news conference.

Police have identified the suspect as Radee Labeeb Prince, who they say might be driving a 2008 black GMC Acadia SUV with DE registration.

Three people have died, Harford County Sheriff Jeffrey Gahler said, and two others were being treated for injuries.

Prince had worked for Advanced Granite Solutions for the past four months and had been scheduled to work on Wednesday, the sheriff said. He should be considered armed and unsafe.

If you see the suspect, police ask you to call 911.

The man said in his written application that Prince came back to the business several times after he was sacked.

"At this point we do not believe anybody else is involved in this incident", he said, adding that Prince is considered armed and risky.

The identities of the victims were not released immediately. The suspect is believed to have fled in a black Chevrolet Arcadia with DE plates.

A co-worker sought a peace order against Radee Prince in February, saying Prince had punched an employee in the face and returned and threatened employees.

Prince was sacked from another job earlier this year after he attacked a co-worker, according to The Baltimore Sun. In March 2015, he faced multiple gun charges, including being a felon in possession of a firearm.

The man said Prince did not get physical with him, but wrote: "I do not want to wait until he will".

Schools in the area, 30 miles from Baltimore, were placed on lockdown as police hunted for the gunman.
