Officials say three people were found shot to death inside a home off of Route 93 in Lawrence County, Ohio after another subject who was stabbed walked to a neighbors house to call for help. They are 50-year-old Donald McGuire and 43-year-old Tammie McGuire.

Lawrence County's sheriff says deputies spotted Lawson early Thursday in Ironton but lost him after a brief chase when he ran into the woods in the dark.

None of the dead or injured has been identified.

A man accused of killing four members of the same family, including a seven-year-old boy, has been captured by police after two days on the run.

Unarmed, worn out and ready to give up, the suspect in the fatal shootings of three adults and a 7-year-old boy didn't try to flee when officers arrested him Friday as he walked along a road in far southern OH, a sheriff said.

Although he said he had no reason to believe drugs were involved, Lawless said authorities have ideas about what happened but are not ready to release details.

Agents from the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation have been helping Lawrence County with the investigation, BCI spokeswoman Jill Del Greco said. Another person in the home was stabbed multiples times and is in critical condition.

The deaths on Wednesday occurred roughly 40 miles (64 kilometers) southeast of the Piketon area, where eight people from the Rhoden family were found shot to death in four homes in April 2016.

Another person was attacked by Lawson, according to Sheriff Lawless, as he returned to the home from work.

It wasn't immediately clear how Lawson was taken into custody Friday. At 9 a.m. Thursday, after hours of searching, the child was found dead - apparently deliberately hidden - in the home.

A manhunt is underway in OH for a suspect in the shooting deaths of four people including a 7-year-old boy.

He faces three counts of murder and one count of aggravated murder.

Lawrence County sheriff's deputies found the bodies of three adults inside a house trailer Wednesday evening. He added that investigators may have been "delayed" in finding the 7-year-old's body because the crime scene was spread across the entire residence.

The surviving victim, located at another residence about one-quarter of a mile from the initial scene, was flown to Cabell Huntington Hospital with apparent stab wounds to the neck and head.
