Pakistan Summons Indian Envoy JP Singh Over Alleged Ceasefire Violations Along LoC

A 10-year-old boy was killed and two minors got injured after ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Poonch a district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.

The heavy cross-border firing and mortar shelling from Pakistan's side began around 650 hours, triggering panic among border residents.

The Chief Minister has directed the district administration to ensure specialized treatment to the people injured in the shelling.

According to Pakistan's state-run broadcaster Radio Pakistan, a civilian was killed and four others wounded due to firing from Indian troops.

India on Tuesday summoned Pakistan's deputy high commissioner Syed Haider Shah and lodged a "strong protest" at the death of three minor Indian children in firing by Pakistani troops in violation of a 2003 ceasefire pact.

An Army vehicle was also damaged in the aggression by Pakistani troops.

Another injured, identified as 25-year-old Mohd Rafiq became a victim of Pakistan shelling when he was returning from the Kashmir valley to get back to his village.
