O.J. Simpson was less than pleased when reporters tracked him down just hours after he was released from prison.

O.J. Simpson was recorded speaking for the first time since his release from prison on October 1.

Reached by phone Sunday, Scotto said he was with Simpson, saying only that the former National Football League star was in a transitional phase after just getting out of prison. He responded "OK", walked through an open door, and the video then cut to a nighttime street - apparently the prison exterior.

When asked where he was headed, Simpson had this to say.

However, Nevada State Parole and Probation Capt. Shawn Arruti told The Associated Press that corrections officials have an approved residential plan for Simpson.

The parole board in Nevada, however, was not allowed to consider the events of 1994 in their deliberations and instead considered the facts around the case in Nevada in 2007, when Simpson was accused of leading a group of men into a Las Vegas hotel and casino to steal sports memorabilia at gunpoint.

"It was incident free, nobody followed; it was exactly what we'd hoped we could do for public safety", Keast said.

In July, Simpson was granted parole after serving almost nine years behind bars. His lawyers called his stiff 9-to-33-year sentence for armed robbery, kidnapping and other charges unfair.

Though Florida's attorney general has urged the department to object to Simpson's return, the department previously has said it would be required to accept a transfer if the request met certain criteria.

Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi told Fox News on Sunday Simpson was not welcome there. "Our state should not become a country club for this convicted criminal", Bondi wrote.

According to reports, Simpson lost his house that was close to Miami, because of repossession in 2012. Simpson had been a Florida resident and his grown children live in that state.

The Orange State's top prosecutor is putting the squeeze on OJ Simpson. If he is lucky, his five years of release watch might be decreased depending on his behavior.

It's a new chapter for the one-time pop culture phenomenon whose fame was once again on display when the major TV networks carried his parole hearing live. He lived in Los Angeles at the time of the murders.

California attorney David Cook, who represents Goldman's survivors, has said the $33.5 million figure has since increased exponentially due to added interest.
