Cruz, who has been living in a shelter after her home was destroyed in the hurricane, is at the forefront of efforts to help Puerto Rico recover from the destruction created by the storm more than a week ago.

"In a series of early-morning tweets on Saturday, Trump blasted ".Such poor leadership ability by the Mayor of San Juan, and others in Puerto Rico, who are not able to get their workers to help".

"As American citizens drink from streams and stand in lines for ice, gas and food, President Trump says they 'want everything to be done for them.' Lin-Manuel Miranda's response?" the front page reads.

President Donald Trump is criticizing the media and praising his administration's response to Hurricane Maria in a battered Puerto Rico.

He also tweeted: "Results of recovery efforts will speak much louder than complaints by San Juan Mayor". Cruz replied, saying, "I don't have time for idle talk".

San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz has pleaded for help as her country tries to survive without water or power.

"The three-star general is on his way, if he's not already arrived in Puerto Rico, to evaluate the response and what the requirements are". Meanwhile, the Federal Communications Commission said 90 percent of cell towers in the island were out of service, meaning residents couldn't connect with their loved ones and made it more hard for first responders.

"I will continue to do whatever I need to do, say whatever I need to say, compliment the people I need to compliment, and call out the people that I need to call out", she added.

Bush's presidency.
