The game was now being played entirely in Swansea's half, with Fernando Llorente introduced by Tottenham, just weeks after joining from the visitors.

Pochettino has been around for all of those goals as manager.

Prior to Wednesday's video game, Kane spoke of his wish to get into the "world-class brace" by adding goals in European competitors to his impressive residential haul.

However, Nacer Chadli scored the equaliser in the 84th minute before Kane's deflected free-kick in injury time earned Spurs all three points and, according to Pochettino, might have kept him his job.

Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino said they were "unlucky" not to beat Swansea on Saturday after the Welsh side held them to a goalless draw.

First, let's take a look at the goal itself. "I did that from day one and I will do it now as well".

With Spurs having picked up just 11 points from their first nine games under the former Southampton boss in 2014, Kane - playing second fiddle to Roberto Soldado and Emmanuel Adebayor at the time, struck a deflected free-kick victor in the 90th minute of a 2-1 triumph at Aston Villa.

The first half was largely contested in Swansea's half with Spurs trying to break the Swans' resilience but they wouldn't prevail as the sides went in deadlocked at half-time.

"For me there is no doubt Harry Kane is one of the best strikers [in the world]".

In certain replays (but not the above), you can see Kane stand over the ball and mouth "I'll make it", before firing home the victor past Brad Guzan, and running to the corner in front of the traveling support while being mobbed by his teammates.

Up against a Tottenham side that had wreaked havoc upon Borussia Dortmund in midweek, Paul Clement's men defended their goal stoutly and earned their point the hard way.

But, the North London club have not enjoyed the start they would have hoped for, and they now sit in 5th position, having only picked up two wins from their opening five games.

Tottenham's Harry Kane scores their third goal in the match against Bournemouth at White Hart Lane, April 15, 2017.

Here's what Pochettino had to say about that goal.

"The truth is that Chelsea have been after me for a long time but at the end you know how this works", Llorente said.
