On September 9, 2016, Clinton was speaking at the LGBT for Hillary gala in NY when she lumped Trump's supporters into two 'baskets'.

"I am done with being a candidate", she told CBS' Jane Pauley, in her first major TV interview since her defeat in the 2016 presidential election.

She said she plans to stay engaged in politics, however, 'because I literally believe our country's future is at stake'.

Hillary Clinton on Sunday said her career "as an active politician" is over and reflected on her campaign and President Donald Trump's election. Instead, the segment was relegated to much later in the broadcast, with the show first spotlighting the devastating storm that was already bearing down on Florida. "It's part of the demonstration of the continuity of our government", Clinton said.

She said attending Trump's inauguration was "an out of body experience" and described feeling stalked on camera in Las Vegas by Trump, a turning point in her candidacy. "And then his speech, which was a cry from the white nationalist gut". And Comey's late October announcement that the Federal Bureau of Investigation, which he still headed at the time, had re-opened its inquiry into her treatment of classified information as secretary of state is blamed by many Clinton supporters for her defeat.

Destiny 2's shaders are consumables, leaving many fans enraged
If you're one of those affected, there's nothing you can do about it - no solutions, no workarounds, no ways to avoid it. Even for a casual gamer, it's almost impossible not to get hyped after embedding yourself in the Destiny 2 world.

The book, published by CBS-owned Simon & Schuster, includes an accounting for numerous missteps and strategic errors that Clinton said she made during the campaign, and for which she explicitly takes responsibility. She also blames his decision to reveal that emails were found on the laptop of disgraced congressman Anthony Weiner, just 11 days before the election, for stopping her momentum.

Looking back on it, Clinton said, 'I'm sorry I gave him a political gift of any kind'. "I had been working on a victory speech".

Addressing President Trump's debate tactic of looming into her personal space - "It was so discombobulating" - Clinton praised her own composure, but noted that failing to more boldly repudiate Trump did not serve her well. But she's not done with politics, she assured. "I thought a lot of his appeals to voters were deplorable. But then, midnight, I decided, 'well - you know, looks like it's not going to work'".

The interview kicks off of Clinton's promo campaign for her forthcoming book What Happened, to be released on Tuesday by CBS' Simon & Schuster imprint. "I felt like I was in a straitjacket". But there was one person who could help her cope: Bill.
