Nigeria's Super Eagles walloped neighbours Cameroon Lions 4-0 to register a decisive win in their bid for qualification for the 2018 World Cup in Russian Federation. The threats however, ceased when Victor Moses who was the chief tormentor teamed up with Simon Moses to make it three in the 55th minute and without a shadow of a doubt put the game beyond the Lions. It's only by the ending minutes of the first half that the tables turned.

Algeria and Zambia are the other countries in the group and play in Lusaka on Saturday, where both seek a first victory of the campaign.

The opener would come from Odion Ighalo who dribbled Teikeu after collecting a pass from captain John Mikel Obi to open the scoring.

Indomitable lions went to their locker room at the end of the first half with dampened spirits.
