Facebook, Instagram servers down leaving users in the larch

The error had left users across the globe unable to share links or post articles on their pages.

Many Facebook users today reported experiencing an outage as they "struggled" to access the popular social media site.

If you're having trouble logging into Facebook this morning, you're not the only one. We quickly investigated and are now restoring service for everyone.

The technical problems appeared to be affecting Facebook's desktop site and mobile application. "We're sorry for any inconvenience".

"Facebook is down for required maintenance right now, but you should be able to get back on within a few minutes". However, this outage was not reported by all users as not all faced it. Facebook didn't yet reveal the exact cause for the problem.

The issues seem to be mostly resolved, so luckily Facebook/Instagram users won't have to stress out for much longer.
