The star deleted her Twitter and Facebook avatar picture and header, while also deleting her posts on Tumblr and Instagram.

Swift's absence from the public eye has been conspicuous over the past few months.

Apart from her ass grab trial, Taylor Swift has been laying low ever since people started realizing everything she does is a calculated PR move. That would seem to confirm rumors that Swift will release her new single this Friday, Aug. 25. All accounts were wiped, including her website TaylorSwift.com which just appeared as a completely blank black screen.

All fans got a hint Monday when clips of the tail of what looks like a snake or some other reptile appeared on her social media pages, according to CNN. This video tease came just days after the third anniversary of the release of "Shake It Off" from her last album "1989", which sold one million copies in its first week alone.

Billboard said some fans believed it was a way to tell fans that she has something coming, like a new album.

But West's wife Kim Kardashian took to Twitter with a different story - "coincidentally" on National Snake Day (July 17).

The "snake" label has been with Swift since at least past year, following an acrimonious breakup with former boyfriend Calvin Harris and an infamous feud with Kanye West and the Kardashian clan, who outed Swift's two-faced outcry over a controversial lyric about her in Kanye's Famous.

Taylor won her assault case against DJ David Mueller - who she says groped her bare bottom under her skirt at a meet and greet - and was awarded the symbolic $1 (77p) in damages that she sought.
