Ryan Reynolds leads moment of silence for stuntwoman on 'Deadpool 2'

The original Deadpool, which was also filmed in Vancouver, earned $780 million in 2016 on a $58-million budget to become the highest-grossing R-rated movies ever.

Harris was the stunt double for Zazie Beetz, who plays the comic-book character Domino. Even on the day of filming, the production team is said to have tried the stunt more than five times before filming.

"During a motorcycle stunt on the set of "#Deadpool 2", stuntwoman Joi "SJ" Harris passed away.

Reynolds released a statement on Twitter a few hours after the accident near the waterfront in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia. Trish stated that five of the officers are now working on discovering as much as they can on the scene. The cops have registered a complaint and are investigating the matter.

Since the news of her death broke, "Deadpool 2" director David Leitch and a representative for movie distributor 20th Century Fox have issued statements. "No words can express how I and the rest of the 'Deadpool 2" crew feel about this tragedy. She was reportedly treated by ambulance personnel but police said she died at the scene.

Deadline reports that production has now resumed on the sequel in Vancouver. She was not wearing a helmet when the accident occurred for continuity purposes, since Domino wasn't wearing one in the scene.

The death is the second such occurrence of a fatal on-set accident in recent weeks. The Walking Dead suffered a stuntman death in July, which marked the first time a stunt-related death had taken place in the U.S.in 17 years.

"I'm sure she could outride me on a motorcycle", says Palmisano, "But she had no experience in the world of filmmaking, stunts, cameras and all the pressure that goes with it".
