American actress Billie Lourd will receive nearly U$6.8 million (AU$8.63 million) from her mother's estate, according to new court documents.

In new court documents filed by the Star Wars actress' estate executor, it was noted that Billie Lourd will inherit $6.8 million in property owned by her late mother, Entertainment Tonight reports.

It is possible that Billie's inheritance will be even larger as Carrie could have had additional funds in trusts that would not necessarily be included in the probate filing. Being the only child of actress Carrie Fisher and talent agent Bryan Lourd, she is the legal inheritor of the property.

The news outlet also revealed that Carrie Fisher's assets include "a life insurance policy, ownership of various LLCs, multiple bank accounts, a 2016 Tesla S, jewelry, artwork, and collectibles". Her personal belongings will also go to the "Scream Queens" actress.
