Southeast winds 5 to 10 miles per hour. Highs will remain in the upper 80s to low 90s and morning lows will stay in the low to mid 70s.

As that front clears the state, moving to the south, the chance for rain will come to an end for most on Sunday. Models continue to show a major warm up from low 60s at 11am into the 70s for many as a warm front moves through.

Next week we'll see shifts to a typical summer pattern, with most days having about a 40 percent coverage of scattered storms, and a lot of them occurring in the afternoon to evening each day. With the clouds and showers, many areas won't get out of the 70s.

"With a persistent very humid air mass, locally heavy rain will be possible", the National Weather Service says.

It's a mild and muggy start this morning and we are already seeing showers and down pours pushing through parts of the region.

A trough over the Great Lakes will gather more energy early in the week, sending another storm system our way for Monday into Tuesday morning. Chance of rain 60%. By the afternoon, the mix of sun and clouds will continue, but highs will only reach into the mid-70s with a nice breeze making it feel ideal outside. Temperatures rebound to the lower 80s.
