Chris Cornell's Daughter Sings "Hallelujah" with One Republic For Father & Chester Bennington

Joined by OneRepublic, the 12-year-old singer performed a powerful rendition of the 1984 Leonard Cohen classic "Hallelujah".

Linkin Park had been scheduled to perform today during the "Good Morning America" Summer Concert Series in Central Park prior to Bennington's death.

Before the performance, the young Cornell said, "It's an honor to perform this for my dad and to Chester, and to sing for them".

The daughter of Soundgarden frontman Chris Cornell performed a cover of "Hallelujah" in his memory and as a tribute to Chester Bennington.

According to Rolling Stone, during the days leading up to his death some friends noted that Chester seemed happy while other said that the singer's dark side still lurked and overshadowed the positive aspects of his life. Bennington died on July 20 at the age of 41 and Los Angeles County coroner confirmed that he died by hanging himself. Both musicians tragically passed this year by committing suicide.

The questions about the nature of Bennington's death have been cleared as authorities and family members confirmed suspicions that the celebrity took his own life. "And to most people, and I think especially to Toni, as well".

A giant mural has appeared in Sherman Oaks as a tribute to late Linkin Park singer Chester Bennington.
