Hundreds of normally tranquil revellers at the Silent Disco (a dance tent where people listen to music on headphones) started chanting his name to the tune of The White Stripes" "Seven Nation Army'.

He also praised the festival for inspiring arts and music and for promoting the importance of protecting the environment.

After stepping out to cheers, he thanked Glastonbury founder Michael Eavis for setting up the festival, describing it as "a place where people come together and achieve things".

Spreading his message
to global issues, he added: "Let's tackle the causes of war, the greed for natural resources, the denial of human rights, the irrational imprisonment of political opponents". "This place, Glastonbury, is truly wonderful". Fed up with being told they never participate, and utterly fed up with being told that their generation was going to pay more to get less in education, in health, in housing, in pensions and everything else. I want to see a world where there is real opportunity for everybody in our society.

"That means sharing the wealth".

"There are many people we learn from in our lives, we learn from friends, we learn from teachers, we learn from parents and those that have written music for us. / Shake your chains to earth like dew / Which in sleep had fallen on you: / Ye are many-they are few!" he said.

The Labour leader met festival staff when he arrived.

Manchester United Is A 'Tempting Invitation' For Monaco Star Fabinho
Unsurprisingly, Manchester United cropped up as a topic and Fabinho was asked what Man United shirt he would wear next season. Talking to Esporte Interativo in Brazil, the versatile midfielder claimed: " Manchester United are a big temptation".

US new home sales rise, median price surges to record high
At the current sales pace, there was a 5.3 months' supply of new homes on the market in May, a relatively low level. However, an increase in the cost of building materials and shortages of lots and labor have crimped homebuilding.

Which 'Dark Universe' Movie Are You Most Excited for?
Tom Cruise is hoping to jump-start Universal's monster movies and turn them into a Marvel-like mega-franchise. Cruise's character Nick Morton meets with Dr.

He was driven to the Greenpeace area of the site, where he posed for pictures and was surrounded by fans.

"I think more politicians should do things like this", said Claire Herbert, 32, from Llanelli, South Wales. "It's very smart to target our age with tuition fees", said 18-year old Hannah, who voted for the first time on June 8.

During Friday's headline slot, Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke recited Mrs May's "strong and stable" election slogan, with crowds chanting "Oh, Jeremy Corbyn".

"I do what I believe in, I try to promote what I believe in and change things in politics and I'm happy to be a part of that change".

And Michael Vale, 28, from London, said: "I'm not sure they'd get Theresa to do this".

But Darren Garrett, 39, Gillingham, Dorset, was not as impressed by Mr Corbyn.

In astonishing scenes for a music festival, an estimated 135,000 Glasto revelers congregated at the Pyramid stage to watch Corbyn give a rousing 20 minute speech before USA rap duo Run the Jewels took to the stage. And even now, weeks after the event, I still don't know what to say about it.
