Fisher died aged 60 on December 27, four days after she became unresponsive on a flight to Los Angeles and was rushed to a hospital.

Her mother and fellow Hollywood icon Debbie Reynolds died a day later, after being rushed to hospital, aged 84.

Another factor contributing to her death was the build-up of fatty tissue in the walls of her arteries, the coroner reportedly found.

The coroner's office did not immediately respond to HuffPost's request for further details.

The report leaves the cause of death "undetermined" for the 60-year-old, best known as Princess Leia in the Star Wars movies.

Six months after she passed away, Carrie Fisher's cause of death has been revealed.

She also appeared in "Austin Powers", "The Blues Brothers", "Charlie's Angels", "Hannah and Her Sisters", "Scream 3" and "When Harry Met Sally".
