Cook used the Apple keynote to show off new iPad and Mac computer models, as well as provide glimpses at coming versions of the software powering the technology titan's devices. The conference ends on June 9.

The new iPad Pro is displayed during the 2017 Apple Worldwide Developer Conference. It features a 12-megapixel camera-like that on the iPhone 7-and a 7MP selfie cam.

Apple is trying to make augmented reality a reality with new tools for iPhones and iPads. It will only be ready to ship out to consumers later this very year, maybe alongside the newest iPhone lineup - expected to be unveiled in Summer this year. It starts at $649 with a 64GB storage configuration. On the Harman Kardon Invoke, that job belongs to Cortana; on Google Home, well, you probably can figure that one out.

The Siri-controlled device will aim to combine listening to music at home with many other functions, according to Cook.

Apart from asking Siri to play the songs, users can also ask the smart digital assistant for specific details about the music, such as the drummer or guitarist in a particular song.

The HomePod will be available in black and white at launch. Apple will put the new smart speaker on sale in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia in first, while Apple fans in other countries will have to wait until sometime in 2018.

While there's a chance Apple could reveal more colors for the HomePod between now and December, nothing was said to imply that.

The price is quite a jump from Google's $129 Home and Amazon's $180 full-sized Echo.

Actually, in all the conferences Apple mainly concentrates on the software side in their business, but now it gave a long list of hardware announcements. The 15-inch Pro, which starts at $3499, now comes with a more powerful AMD graphics chip with either 2GB or 4GB of memory. On the portable side, MacBooks are also being upgraded.

The HomePod will cost $349, which is a lot more than the smart speaker competition. Today we're having a closer look at Apple official.

At the event in San Jose, Northern California, not far from Apple's headquarters in Cupertino, Cook said his company now has 16 million registered software developers worldwide for its consumer electronics and 3 million of them were added past year. The kit can help find planes, track motion and estimate scale and ambient lighting. Critics instead saw a negotiating tactic to get Prime Video onto the Apple device, and a prod for people to buy Amazon's competing Fire TV players. It can also fetch scores, news, weather and traffic information. Filtering for faces and other images has been improved. The features are part of the Mac software update this fall, to be called High Sierra. Later Apple will release the developed version.
