Apple introduces watchOS 4 at WWDC with new Siri-powered watch face

Chief among the new features are a trove of new watch faces, with the most intriguing one being the intelligent Siri one.

Along with the Siri Watch Face, Apple has also introduced Toy Story Face and Kaleidoscope Apple Watch face. The watch will now change the information displayed onscreen depending on the user's personal apps, including calendar, notes, traffic, weather, and many others. The machines will provide the watch with improved data on burnt calories, distances, speed, pace, and more, producing the most accurate workout data possible for a consumer-grade fitness tracker.

With GymKit, customers using their favorite cardio equipment will soon be able to pair their Apple Watch directly to treadmills, ellipticals, indoor bikes or stair steppers from global manufacturers such as Life Fitness and Technogym with a simple tap.

Perhaps the biggest update WatchOS 4 will bring to the Apple Watch is dynamic watch faces. The Cupertino-based also announced the all-new watchOS 4 which brings new enhancements. It will automatically import new Apple Music playlists; multiple playlists are also supported. Apple is showing this off as a quick-access tool for appointments, Wallet tickets and more. It can also measure your high intensity workout training. And this is evident from the second generation device which focuses on improving activity tracking capabilities.

The Workout app in watchOS4 will also have some specific exercise updates as well.

The Music app on Apple Watch has been redesigned. Users can now pick a playlist that automatically starts when beginning a workout, and swipe left in the Workouts app to control music while working out. watchOS 4 is available today to registered developers, and is expected to be released in the fall. Furthermore, gym equipment manufacturers will be supporting this in the future as well. There's also support for audio recording in the background navigation, screen auto-rotate and native Core Bluetooth. All three will get their very own watch face, complete with the character fully animated for your enjoyment.
