Police released photographs from security cameras showing Abedi on the night of the massacre, wearing jeans and trainers, a black bodywarmer and a baseball cap, with the straps of his backpack visible on his shoulders.

Fourteen locations are being searched and 12 men are in custody on suspicion of terror offences.

They have made an appeal to the public for information about the bomber's movements since 18 May, when he returned to the United Kingdom from Libya.

There were prayers for the victims at church services across Manchester on Sunday.
