Overall, British Columbians consensus on the BC Liberal government's handling of the economy is favourable, with over half of residents believing the party has done "very good" or "good" at managing the provincial economy (52%), fostering worldwide investment (also 52%) and job creation (51%).

Heck, even BC Green party leader Andrew Weaver has come out swinging.

When asked Wednesday if they believe the woman was an NDP plant, the Liberals issued a short statement that says: "We're happy to stand corrected".

Hamish Telford, political science professor at the University of the Fraser Valley, says Weaver "has presented himself as a credible alternative to the traditional parties".

- Clark is defending a little-known tax rebate program meant to attract worldwide business, which TD Bank used to claim a $2.8-million refund that a court says the province must consider after it first rejected the claim over a missed deadline.

He said the NDP is in the best position to defeat the B.C. Liberals and that voting for the B.C. Green Party won't ensure a Liberal defeat.

Her government challenged the company's claim for the refund in court because TD filed its paperwork a day late.

The brief encounter last week between the woman and Clark has generated a buzz on social media as the hashtag #IamLinda became a rallying point on Twitter for people who oppose the B.C. Liberal government. "We need to grow those programs. that are aimed at attracting head offices from around the world to Vancouver". The riding has been Liberal territory since 1996, with the exception of the 2012 byelection won by a popular New Democrat, the former mayor of Port Moody. The program gives away millions in taxpayer dollars to unnamed corporations with no discernible benefits for British Columbians.

"We can't risk that for our school system, we can't risk that for our health-care system, we can't risk that for seniors", Horgan said of electing Clark to an electric crowd at the Craft Corner Kitchen on Main Street in Penticton.

"I guess the folks in Finance decided that (TD Bank) met that goal", she said.
