Clinton shares thoughts on Syria at fundraiser in Houston

Former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said misogyny "certainly" played a role in her US presidential election defeat by Republican rival Donald Trump.

Former Secretary of State John Kerry insisted he was "gratified" that Trump had attacked Syria, adding that he believes more military action would be a way for the U.S. to produce a peace deal in Syria after years of civil war. And while a lot of the people who agreed with Trump the candidate are confused and concerned by the attack, Democrat hawks are thrilled, this being a war they'd wanted for a long time.

It came as the U.S. on Thursday night struck the Shairat airbase in a response to the chemical weapons attack that killed dozens of civilians in Idlib province.

"As I said yesterday (Thursday) it is essential that the world does more to deter Assad from committing future murderous atrocities", Clinton said at a luncheon in Houston. "But the action taken last night needs to be followed by a broader strategy to end Syria's civil war". "And I also hope that they will recognize that we can not in one breath speak of protecting Syrian babies and in the next close America's doors to them". The former secretary of State had expressed support for bombing Assad's airbases hours before Trump ordered a Tomahawk missile attack on a Syrian regime airfield.

The Study Watch does this by using electrocardiography (ECG) and by measuring electrodermal activity and inertial movements. On the downside, it doesn't seem to show any kind of notifications, just the time and occasional instructional information.

"I didn't fully understand how impactful that was", said Clinton. "The leaders we choose matter". But her remarks on the election, and the role gender discrimination played in it, made headlines.

But she repeated blame dished out past year before campaign donors that Federal Bureau of Investigation intervention over her email scandal and Russian attempts to sway the outcome of vote in Trump's favour were chiefly to blame.

"I think in this election there was a very real struggle between what is viewed as change that is welcomed and exciting to so many Americans and change which is worrisome and threatening to so many others", Clinton said.
